Staff members must be in good standing and receive recommendation from an elder or minister in their local congregation within the churches of Christ. All staff are volunteers with the exception of cooks and lifeguards. Each cabin has a counselor. In addition, there is a director, assistant director, nurse or first aid specialist, athletic director, and Bible class teachers.

Counselors for Junior weeks must be age 18 or older, or have graduated from high school. For older weeks, counselors must be 21 years of age.

Each staff member age 18 or older must complete a background check and satisfactorily have completed child protection training.

The directors for each week assemble the staff that will serve that week.
